&lt;p&gt;In a few month I will celebrate 25 years of it and architecture related work since leaving school. I do this by 
starting my own business but also firing off Apocrita.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Since start, already at my first summer job 1988 I was involved in making different systems collaborate. Back 
then I was developing a RS232 connection between a CAD/CAM system and production tools. Since then I have learned
sales system to communicate with the SIM card on early GSM phones, telephone switches communicate with cell planning tools, and
a lot of business systems communicate with each other.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Right now I see the need for a small scale integration platform that is simple and straight forward. That can be installed on a 
small open source computer (i.e. I am targeting Linux) and where it is simple to develop the adapters and get them to play.&lt;/p&gt;
